Nutty Fudge Brownies

You will need: Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 180° C (350° F) (do not use convection heat or the edges will burn). Grease the bottom and sides of an 8” (20 cm) square pan and line the bottom with wax baking paper if desired.
  2. Melt the butter and allow to cool slightly. Roughly chop the walnuts.
  3. In a large mixing bowl beat the cream cheese and butter at low to medium speed. Add contents of pouch and mix at medium speed until smooth. Add the eggs and stir with a wooden spoon until smooth (about 50 times). Add the chopped walnuts and stir gently.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake in the center of the oven for 20 minutes. Brownies will still be soft but will set as they cool - do not over bake! Cool completely before cutting into squares.
These brownies are super rich and, as good as they are warm, they are divine cold, so store them in the refrigerator.
